Split Top Box tutorial

Hi all,
This was my February Stamp Club project. It was super easy & fun!
It's called a Split Top Box. I love how this looks & you can fit a lot inside! Cards, candy, a gift...
Check out video instructions here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO0F0ECoUYI

BASE: 7 1/4" x 8 1/2", score 1 1/2" all 4 sides.
SIDES: 7 3/8" x 3 1/4", score 1 1/2" on 2 short sides & 1 long side.
Cut in on score lines to make tabs.
It's helpful to cut a sliver off the tabs so they fold in nicer. I will do this from now on! It makes a big difference.
As shown in the video, you can cut off a diagonal edge to make the sides look neat. Measure a 1/2" from each score line & cut the diagonal scrap away.

Glue tabs on box base & top pieces. Add top pieces with washi tape to create "hinges".

The flower is cut from the Flower Market Cricut Cartridge at 3" on Poppy cardstock.
ALL the pieces are cut in one key.
Stamens are cut with the shift key.
Leaves are cut on the Artiste cartridge, page 54 Accent 4 (shift key) at 1" & 1 1/4" on Fern Cardstock.
I also used the doily shape on page 80 of the Artiste cartridge cut at 3" for the box top.

Sponge edges with Poppy ink & Fern ink.

Curl back tops of flower petals.
I used a bone folder to make a "vein" in the leaves, then bend for dimension.
You'll see a slit cut in the petals. Overlap it & glue with Liquid Glass.

Glue 5 larger petals onto circle base.

Glue 3 smaller petals in center.

Shape stamens by pressing into the centers.
Add the stamens & leaves with Liquid Glass. Voila!
Enjoy the split top box!
