Watercolor Leaf Card

Hi all!
Here are my "thank you" cards for orders placed this month.
Want to see how I did it? Keep on reading!

First, start with our high quality watercolor paper. This is different from watercolor paper in the stores. It has a much smoother surface so it's not so "lumpy" & the paint blends beautifully.
From the Cricut "Artbooking" cartridge cut a maple leaf (page 72) at 3" at real dial size. Move the blade over & down a bit so it cuts more in the center of your paper & not at the edge. This is your stencil.

Place the stencil over the watercolor paper. Choose your paints & start painting!
First I wet the brush & used a yellow color:

Then orange dabbled around the edges:

Then red:

Now use a wet brush & blend the colors as you wish:

For a really fun look, try SPLATTERING!
Get your brush nice & wet, dab into a color then tap it against your finger to splatter dots all over! Be mindful of what's near you when you're crafting- you might splatter more than you want!

Set it aside to dry for a while then assemble.
I used a cardstock base of Pomegranate, the Sangria paper pack & gold shimmer trim. Stamp set is "Sending Love".
Comment below & let me know your thoughts!
Enjoy~
